The Speedway Reward Card is for those applicants who have very good credit and make purchases frequently at Speedway SuperAmerica stores. With this program, a 1% rebate is earned on all general purchases, and a 4% rebate is earned for purchases that are made at Speedway SuperAmerica stores. During the first sixty days purchases at Speedway SuperAmerica stores will earn an 8% rebate. All rebates are applied directly to the cardholder’s account and can be used to purchase free gasoline. There is no annual limit to the amount of rebates that can be earned, but any unused rebates expire after a year.

The Speedway Reward Card has an introductory rate of 0% that applies to both purchases and balance transfers for up six months with no annual fee based on the applicant’s credit history. After the introductory period, purchases are charged at a rate of 17.99% variable and cash advances 23.99% variable based on the Prime Rate. The card carries a 3% balance transfer fee with a minimum of $5 up to a maximum of $75 and a cash advance fee of 3% with a minimum of $10. The balance transfer fee may be reduced or waived at Chase’s discretion. Finance charges are calculated on a two-cycle average daily balance formula.

The Speedway Reward Card provides the most benefits for those who qualify for the lowest rate, plans to pay in full after the introductory rate expires, and will use the card frequently to make purchases at Speedway SuperAmerica stores.

The benefits a cardholder can derive from this card include the following:

• Online access to account information

• Reporting of lost and stolen cards

• Emergency cash and card replacement

• Emergency assistance and travel related services

• Financial statement at year’s end upon request

• Extended warranty for purchases made with the card

• Purchase protection

• Roadside assistance

• Travel accident insurance up to $500,000

• Insurance for rental car

• Lost luggage insurance up to $3,000

• No liability to the cardholder for unauthorized transactions

This credit card is absolutely ideal for the book lovers out there. If you shop regularly at Borders or Walden books than get ready to start reading! As a card holder you earn great points for shopping at Borders, Walden Books, Borders Express, Borders Outlet and Borders and Walden Books online. With these earned points you can choose to receive a gift certificate to any one of the book stores listed above, gas or restaurant gift cards and many other great options. There is no limit to the points that can be earned so you can start earning right now!

Another added bonus for book lovers is that card holders will automatically be enrolled in the Borders Reward Program where you receive exclusive membership discounts and more! This Borders Rewards card also offers their card holders the standard benefits that no credit card can go without.

• Up to $500,000 in travel insurance

• Auto Rental Insurance

• A variety of travel emergency and services

If you are a card holder who generally carries a large outstanding balance on their credit card than you may find this particular credit card to be a bit more expensive than the others. The Borders Reward card program relies on the Two Cycle Average Daily Balance method to determine the finances that are to be charged to your account. This costs more for people to maintain a daily balance than it does when the Daily Average Balance is used. If maintaining a balance is your style of managing your credit card than this may not be the right card for you.

For card holders who would rather pay off their balances in full than you will find this credit card to be extremely satisfying. With no annual fees and the 0% interest rates on purchases for the first twelve billing cycles you are saving a bundle just by being approved! The application process is simple and easy to access online via their website. Once approved you can spend and earn at the same time!

The Speedway SuperAmerica Platinum MasterCard by Chase targets consumers who reside in the Midwest region and who frequent Speedway, SuperAmerica or RichOil stores.

Rebates of 8% are credited into card holder accounts directly for all purchases made with the Speedway Reward Card at SuperAmerica stores during the first 60 days of membership. Subsequently, cardholders are also eligible for a 4% rebate on their Speedway SuperAmerica purchases and a 1% rebate on all other purchases. These rebates expire in twelve months unless they are redeemed for free gasoline. However there is no limit to the rebates that can be earned.

On the flip side, the card imposes a steep interest rate in comparison to other reward cards of a similar genre. Furthermore, finance charges are configured according to the “Two Cycles Average Daily Balance” which works out to higher charges as compared to than the “Average Daily Balance” configuration used on most cards. However, there is a six-month long interest-free introductory period for both purchases and balance transfers. Also, this credit card does not require any annual fees to be paid.

Moreover, cardholders of the Speedway Reward Card can also expect common platinum cardholder benefits offered such as travel accident insurance of up to $500,000, auto rental insurance and purchase protection plans. Members are eligible for discounts at various merchants, with the full list participating retailers listed on the Chase Manhattan website.

In conclusion, the Speedway Reward Card is ideal for residents in the Midwest who often shop at Speedway & SuperAmerica locations and who own a motor vehicle. This consumer group would stand to benefit the most from the reward program. However, those who plan not to pay off their outstanding balances should look at other offers as the finance charge and the interest rates for this card would strip away any potential benefits.

If you are a frequent traveller and an avid credit card user, getting an airline reward card can bring forth many special benefits. As each airline reward card has something different to offer, it is this disparity that customers should take full advantage of when using their card.

Airline reward cards usually allow you collect mileage points by charging ticket purchases to your card. Generally, a dollar earns you a mileage point. When you have collected 24000 mileage points, you can redeem a ‘free’ airline ticket to any destination within the United States. Apart from that, you can also collect points from making general purchases with your card like buying brand merchandize, eating at selected restaurants and even buying gas. Of course, the amount of points you can collect for each dollar you spend differs with each reward card. There are also cards that allow you to collect mileage for every mile you (and your companion, in some cases) have travelled. Furthermore, some cards immediately award you with a few thousand points the moment your card application has been approved.

Now, does it sound like it’s a little too easy to gain your mileage points? It makes you wonder if anyone will lose out on this deal apart from the company, until you realize just how hard it is to actually reach that 24000 mileage point mark. To make it even harder, certain airlines only allow you to redeem points and the free tickets from them or their airline partners. This will greatly limit your travelling freedom.

What’s more, some airlines predetermine particular travel periods when free ticket redemptions are not allowed. These periods are known as ‘blackout dates’ and usually coincides with peak travelling seasons. You still can fly but you won’t be travelling on a free ticket. Based on the notion that not all airline reward cards are equal, you as the consumer should exercise your right to pick the best airline reward card for all your travelling needs. If you are a well-planned spender, your mileage points may even get you free car rentals, hotel rooms or even a class upgrade in your next flight out.

Adam Goldman recommends Find Credit Cards to find the best airline reward card. See http://www.findcreditcards.org/type/airline.php for more information.

Issued by Citibank, the Diamond Preferred Rewards Card is specially designed for consumers with an excellent credit score, and who plan to take advantage of Citibank’s ThankYou Network reward program.

Through the Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card, cardholders are entitled for five reward points for every dollar spent at selected supermarkets, drug stores and gas stations. However, this five-points-to-the-dollar offer is only valid for the first twelve months of membership. Once that’s over, the regular reward system only awards one point per dollar spent, just like all the other purchases made to the card.

These earned points can be redeemed for all sorts of products and services from merchants such as Toys “R” Us, Home Depot and Starbucks. Additionally, cardholders are provided with the option to reduce the APR on the card for purchases and cash advances, something of a rarity amongst competing credit cards. However, there is a cap of 75,000 points earned in a year with points expiring within five years.

Interest rates for the Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card are also comparatively low in addition to no annual charges. On top of that, the 0% introductory rate is a splendid twelve months that can be applied towards balance transfers. Unfortunately, the interest rates for cash advances are based on a minimum of 19.99%. This means that even if the Prime Rate drops, you still have to pay through your nose should you come into some sort of emergency requiring a cash advance.

Nevertheless, the Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card is a reasonably packaged credit card. Cardholders planning to take advantage of the five point bonus and the 0% intro APR within the first twelve months will reap the most benefits. Nevertheless, those who don’t will still get to enjoy the standard platinum cardholder benefits provided by Citibank.

The Chase Home Improvement Rewards Card is the ideal choice in credit cards for those that plan to do home improvement projects. When you use this credit card to buy the necessary aspects of repairing or updating your home you are rewarded. If you need more incentive to get home improvement projects taken care of, this is the ideal method for obtaining those rewards. Consider the details of this credit card that is offered to those with average or better credit through Chase.

The Chase Home Improvement Rewards Card offers you twelve months of an introductory rate of 0%, which is a decent amount of time to reap these benefits. You will then have an APR starting at 13.99% for purchases and 23.99% for cash advances. In addition, you will have no annual fee and there is no limit to the amount that your credit limit can be. Little or big home improvement projects will be just fine if you are approved for a high credit limit here.

Yet, probably the most benefiting thing about the Chase Home Improvement Reward Card is that of the rewards program itself. You will earn one point per dollar. You can earn an additional 3 points per dollars pent on your home improvement purchases at various home improvement type stores. When you reach 2500 points, you can redeem them for a $25 gift certificate or opt for a $25 check to spend as you like. There are no expiration dates on rewards although you can only earn 60,000 points or 30,000 home improvement points per year.

In addition to these features, the Chase Home Improvement Reward Card provides for what you need in additional perks including emergency cash replacement, travel and emergency assistance programs, up to $500,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance as well as tips and contests for home improvement projects. There is no reason not to get more out of your home improvement projects with a credit card like this. Take some time to determine if this is the right credit card for you.

If there are reward cards for the frequent flyer and the frequent shopper, should there be a rewards card especially for the frequent reader? For those of you who are fans of Waldenbooks and Borders, the Borders 3.2.1 Visa card is definitely a keeper.

Cardholders are awarded points for shopping at all Borders outlets and it’s not just books we are referring to. Upon enrolling in the Borders rewards program, shoppers can amass two points for every dollar spent on purchasing gas, grocery or even dining. Plus, it gets even easier to collect points with Borders and Waldenbooks as every dollar spent in these stores earn you three points. In addition, card holders are also entitled for special privileges and discounts whenever they shop at these outlets.

Commencing from the first initial purchase that a card holder makes, shoppers will obtain an instant 1000 points on their Borders Rewards Card. With this, the card owner is given the opportunity to redeem a Gift Card from Borders worth $25 for every 2500 points accumulated. Otherwise, they can opt for cash, restaurant gift cards or travel rewards instead.

In addition, the card also provides up to $500,000 of travel accident insurance, emergency assistance and auto rental insurance coverage. Customers are also provided the facility to manage their accounts online, diminishing the need pay offline. For a card that offers $100,000 as its maximum credit limit and $5000 for a minimum limit for $0 annual fees a year, customers are really truly pampered with the Borders Rewards Card. Nevertheless, this is not a card for those who are in the habit of snow-balling their credit card balances. For one thing, the APR for this Borders Rewards Card is based on a two-cycle average daily balance system, which averages out the balance between two months before calculating the interest charges. In short, users who tend to have outstanding balances may find them paying more for this card than they would for other credit cards.
