im looking for a rewards credit card that will fit my needs?
May8
i dont travel much as in flying, but i would use it for gas, groceries, and other store purchases. what would be the best rewards card that would suite me. i always pay my bills, i have excellent credit.
For me is AMEX but you can do some research yourself. Try one with low or no annual fee. If you always pay your bills on time I guess you don’t care much about the interest rate.
Go to creditcards.com . They compare and list every credit card and its benefits and downfalls. It’s a pretty decent site. Otherwise, if you’re just looking for one right away, I’d say the cashback bonus rewards card from Discover. Discover is pretty much the only credit card company I’ve yet to have any problems with.
here is a site that lists a bunch of offers..

I also recommend Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card, which the reward programs are amazing.

Check out http://www.fastcreditcardapprovals.com here you will be able to compare all major credit cards side by side on rates, fees and reward, no matter what kind of credit you have they have the right card for you
I have an AMEX, where I get a certain percentage back depending on what I use it for. Every yr they mail a check for you to use as you wish.
You can use this rewards calculator to see which rewards card will pay you the most for your spending profile:

I can tell you that AmEx Blue Cash is pretty good for a spending profile with a lot of gas and groceries, and AmEx’s reputation for service is quite good. But plug your numbers into the calculator and see how AmEx Blue Cash fares against other rewards cards. It may not be the best for you.
I’ve had quite a lot of credit cards and have read the fine print on most of them. Stay away from cards that only give 1% all the time. All of them do, but they all aren’t equal in how you can redeem them. Also, only get a new card with a promotional $100 in gift cards.
Chase Freedom is the best card out there right now. It’s 3% on groceries, gas, pharmacies, and fast food, AND your favorite three categories. If it was a few years ago, I would have said Chase Visa Rewards Plus, but they discontinued it. It’s 5% back on groceries, gas, and pharmacies.
I prefer Chase over Citi for their rewards. Why? First of all, I can get a $50 check for my 5000 reward points at Chase. Second, a $50 gift card at citi’s ThankYouNetwork is 6000 points. That means if you currently get 1% back, you aren’t really. You are getting less than one percent back in rewards. You are getting 5/6ths of a point every time you pay a dollar on their credit card, because its costs 6000 points to redeem a $50 gift card. Third, most of the Citi cards stop the 5% after the first year.
