I usually pay my discover bill monthly, however, I am running low this month. I transferred the balance onto another card. The bill is do today, and it hasn’t posted yet. I went ahead and paid the minimum payment. Is discover going to wipe my credit card down to zero, or am I going to have to pay interest on new purchases because the whole balance wasn’t paid off on date due? Thank you.
If you use your credit card for most purchases to earn rewards and pay it off in full monthly do you still incur interest charges or is it same as cash? I have a card that earns frequent flyer miles for using the card but if I’ll be charged interest every month for using the card even if I pay it off in full monthly I’ll forego a free round trip ticket and purchase airline tickets when needed.
